In the past eight years since she started djing Ajele has built up a wealth of experience in many different forms of electronic music: house, breakbeats, electro, drum’n’bass right down to downbeat and backroom eclectic style sets. Through this she has found her own unique sound.

She has a taste for the cutting edge. This can be seen through some of the great and innovative producers whose records which feature heavily in her sets. Such as: Adam Freeland, Jaques lu Cont, Miss Kittin, Ewan Pearson, Tiefschwarz, Headman, Glimmer Twins, Rayksopp, Chicken Lips, Chemical Brothers, Lee Coombs, Layo & Bushwacka, Serge Santiago, Mylo and Tiga.

“I want to make people dance to records without them stopping to think what kind of music they are listening to, an eclectic selection but it shouldn’t be a random one. There should be a logic to it, reflecting the musical style along with something of my own personality. I try to observe what kind of an audience I have and watch carefully every little reaction, right down to the people sitting at tables or the staff serving at the bar. Whenever I can, I like to surprise people with “off the wall” tunes now and again, something from a completely different area: punk, rock, hip hop, whatever. I maybe have a slightly quirkier taste than many djs but I have a lot more fun playing like this, and it seems to work, if I may say so!”
