Care compagne e compagni, amiche e amici innanzitutto un augurio d’inizio anno di buona lotta all’infinita scempiaggine di questa società!
Ringraziamo con l’occasione coloro che, durante lo scorso anno, hanno contribuito a rimettere in sesto la situazione critica, venutasi a creare dopo il lungo periodo di forzata semichiusura, in cui è stata messa a rischio la tenuta stessa della storica sede anarchica romana, che ospita l’archivio della Biblioteca L’Idea, in Via Braccio da Montone 71^ al Pigneto.
Affrontare il periodo di vera e propria urgenza, con la copertura dei pagamenti sospesi, è stato possibile con la solidarietà, in vari modi espressa, da parte di realtà individuali e collettive: case editrici, riviste, spazi sociali e tante persone vicine e lontane, più o meno conosciute, che si sono rese partecipi di tale risultato.
Ora ci aspetta il non meno arduo impegno nel consolidare l’equilibrio ancora precario; c’è bisogno infatti di continuare principalmente a garantire le spese d’affitto mensile: lo si fa con sottoscrizioni fisse di varia entità, secondo le disponibilità dei singoli, in parte con cene, serate musicali ecc. in sede o altrove su iniziativa esterna, ma non è tuttavia sufficiente.
Per questo si avvia la nuova raccolta fondi a sostegno della Biblioteca L’Idea che, ribadiamo, sopravvive unicamente con l’autofinanziamento.
Rivolgiamo un nuovo appello a chi ha a cuore la r/esistenza di questo spazio politico non piegato alla mercificazione che ormai governa quasi completamente il quartiere.
Affermiamo, come nei comunicati precedenti, la volontà di tenere, qui in vita questa realtà, consapevoli che sarà possibile, solo e ancora, con un rinnovato, continuativo e genuino supporto antiautoritario.

L'Idea è una biblioteca, nata nel lontano 1995, dall'incontro d'individualità anarchiche interessate a rendere fruibile il materiale (libri, opuscoli, periodici, manifesti, ecc.), raccolto nell'Archivio Internazionale di Controcultura del Movimento Operaio (con pubblicazioni che risalgono persino ai primi del '900).
Negli anni successivi l'archivio ha continuato ad arricchirsi costantemente diventando così un piccolo grande baluardo di resistenza all'egemonia disastrosa della cultura dominante.
Non abbiamo mai dato vita ad un gruppo politico, ma consideriamo questa esperienza autogestita collettivamente secondo il principio dell'unanimità, interno al movimento anarchico, del quale custodisce parte del patrimonio storico/culturale.
Da anni distribuiamo materiale anarchico e libertario autoprodotto. Inoltre curiamo pubblicazioni periodiche di scritti, musica, stampe, con l'idea di far conoscere testi attualmente di difficile reperibilità e di rilanciare l'autoproduzione in ogni campo come pratica fondamentale per sopravvivere in quest'epoca sempre più devota alla mercificazione e all'appiatimento sociale e culturale.
Precisiamo che la biblioteca è completamente autofinanziata sia con le quote di chi è all'interno del progetto sia attraverso la distro. Invitiamo coloro che sono interessati alle attività della biblioteca o che abbiano idee o proposte di passare durante i giorni d'apertura del martedì e venerdì dalle ore 17.00 a Via Braccio da Montone 71-71\A Zona Pigneto, Roma oppure scrivere a biblidea@bastardi.net
Dear comrades, we inform you about the now imminent precipitation of events regarding the future of the Anarchist Library L'Idea.
Since 2019, we made various calls for donations to maintain the premises where more than 10,000 texts in books and documentation of various types are kept and can be consulted.
The Prosperity Campaign, fundraising 2020/22, despite the contribution of many supporters, unfortunately did not achieve the proposed objective, as the donations lit a small candle, but not the light that would give wide-ranging and vital propulsion.
We must take note of a situation on the verge of recoverability, so we make a further call to those who want to contribute, to do so as soon as possible, since the terms can no longer be postponed. The risk of eviction is imminent if we do not remedy the situation by mid-April.
We relaunch the 2023 Extraordinary Prosperity Campaign, hoping that it will be participated, by anarchist realities, individuals and collectives, sympathizers and kindred, with the intensely felt awareness that the immediate need to preserve the archive simultaneously corresponds to defending a segment of territory from the speculative, consumerist and homogenizing arrogance of the gentrification that has been going on the Pigneto district. Under siege is the heritage of Contro Cultura, memory and experience between past and present: people, experiences, relationships not enslaved to the logic of power and profit, always in struggle against all the authorities.
We thank those who have contributed and, in advance, those who still want and will be able to do so, to achieve the coveted purpose of not losing the historic headquarters in Va Braccio da Montone: almost forty years of anarchist history resistant in Rome.

After various discussions and reflections on the possibilities available to us to continue the project of the "Biblioteca L'Idea", in a moment of great emergency, we embark on an extraordinary fundraiser and invite on board all those who wish, with piratical complicity, to collect across seas and mountains a good loot to help us meet urgent needs.
This call is addressed to all similar individuals and sympathizers who want to support the prosperity of the L'Idea Anarchist Library, and protect the great cultural heritage of the International Archive of Counterculture of the Workers' Movement (together with a vast collection of texts, brochures , posters, documents) in the historic headquarters in Via Braccio da Montone in the Pigneto district in Rome.
The intent is to meet the rental costs of the space, opened in 1985 in Pigneto by Anachist Group Controcultura Group and of the "Spigolo", the adjacent site where various activities take place: book presentations, video reviews, concerts, meetings for demedicalization and self-management of self-care; a "crossroads" opened in 2011, as an offshoot of the library, where people alternate and mix energies, available for the comparison and implementation of proposals by anti-authoritarian realities also distinct from the specific project of the Library.

A project that, we like to remind, continues to be maintained through self-financing, independent of the institutions and without any form of income for those who join it. A resistant and countertrending entity in a neighborhood use to be "working-class", today colonized by the radical chic lordship of consumption and exploitation: here rage the real estate business, selfie-proof street art, trendy places dressed in Pasolini's sauce are appropriately revisited. .
All under the sparkling (so sad) sign of the redevelopment model, elsewhere in the world already served up and known with the international definition of Gentrification, which imposes the new urban structure on the skin of the historical inhabitants deported elsewhere and on the rubble of social relations. So here are the old inhabited and lived spaces transformed into non-places, crossed by tourists in search of events, lovers of aesthetics and fiction, in whose margins would also be included realities like ours, if only it were available to bury the aspirations of revolt under the brush of the advancing picturesque!

L'Idea is a library, born in 1995, from the meeting of anarchist individuals interested in making books, brochures, periodicals, posters, etc. available, collected in the International Archive of Counterculture of the Movement. Worker (with publications dating back even to the early 1900s).
In the following years the archive continued to grow constantly, thus becoming a great little bulwark of resistance to the disastrous hegemony of the dominant culture.
We have never given birth to a political group, but we consider this experience collectively managed according to the principle of unanimity, internal to the anarchist movement, of which it preserves part of the historical / cultural heritage.
For years we have been distributing self-produced anarchist and libertarian material. We also take care of periodic publications of writings, music, prints, with the idea of making known texts that are currently difficult to find and to relaunch self-production in every field as a fundamental practice to survive in this increasingly devoted to commodification and social and cultural attachment.
We specify that the library is completely self-financed both with the shares of those who are within the project and through the distro.
