The Protest Action against destruction of relict forest for construction of the gas pipeline Russia-Turkey was started

Now in morning of August the 18th in natural boundary a Wood Slot (árkhipo-Osipovka Territorial district of a city - health resort Gelendzhik) in 236 quarter árkhipo-Osipovka Wood facilities the protest action against illegal cutting down of a unique massif of a pine Crimean and pine ÐÉÃÕÎÄÓËÏÊ was started. Here on August 16th was started illegal mass cutting down of relict red book trees for construction of the gas pipeline Russia - Turkey. This plot is disposed on th territory of a monument of the nature "Natural boundary of a pine Crimean " árkhipo-Osipovka ", which has a reserved mode of protection. This monument of the nature enters in nature-reserved fund of Russia and construction of objects like the gas pipeline, the exception of grounds from its structure is forbidden. 12 activists: anarchists and activists from Social - ecological Soyuz of Western Caucasus have climbed up on trees which stand on of the gas pipeline line to prevent their cutting down. THE ADVICE OF THE PROTEST ACTION AGAINST ILLEGAL CUTTING DOWN RED BOOK TREES ON TERRITORY OF THE MONUMENT OF THE NATURE "NATURAL BOUNDARY OF A PINE CRIMEAN

On August the 18th, 2001 at 8.00 activists of Social - ecological Soyuz of Western Caucasus and anarchists start the protest action against illegal cutting down of a unique massif red book kinds of a pine Crimean and pine ÐÉÃÕÎÄÓËÏÊ on territory of a monument of the nature "NATURAL BOUNDARY OF A PINE CRIMEAN.
This monument of the nature has a reserved mode of protection and enters in nature-reserved fund of Russian Federation. The action has the goal to stand on the way of cutting down of trees of a pine Crimean and pine ÐÉÃÕÎÄÓËÏÊ. Activists are going to block cutting down by climbing on trees which appointed to cut down. Solution about the action was the own initiative of the activists, who have accepted the full responsibility for its realization.
The extreme form of protest is called by unprecedented defiance of the law by structural subdivisions of "Gazprom" and Italian campaign ENI, expressed in illegal cutting down of a massif red book trees on territory of a monument of the nature. This monument of the nature "NATURAL BOUNDARY OF A PINE CRIMEAN "áòèéðï-ïóéðï÷óëïå" was built by the solution Krasnodar administration #488 From 14.02.1983.
From the beginning the monument of the nature had a reserved mode of protection. The quarter 236, in which one there is cutting down, bodily enters into its structure, it is disposed in a central part of a monument of the nature, from the beginning was in its structure, never was dispsen from structure of a monument of nature. Because of entering in structure of nature-reserved fund of Russian Federation, in accord to the Russian legislation, it is not subject of exception.
Cutting down red book trees on territory of Russian Federation also is forbidden under the law. Thus, cutting down in 236 quarter contradicts to fundamental laws and codes of Russian Federation. It is ecological crime with the Criminal code: The article 246. Violation of the rules of environmental protection at production of jobs; The article 259. Destruction of critical localities for organisms brought in the Red book of Russian Federation; The article 262. Violation of mode of guard natural territories and natural objects. Nevertheless, on August the 16th 2001 on territory 236 quarters cutting down of a relict pine forest began.
If it does not stop now - it will be happen unrecoverable and this unique wood will be erased. Activists demand:
 - To stop cutting down in 236 quarter;
 - To cancel the subordinate legislation normative statements, which sanctioned this cutting down;
 - To change the way of a line of the gas pipeline for not touching a monument of the nature.

Beside it the participants of the action going to get that Faces guilty in ecological crime in 236 Quarter, will be punish. 18 August 2001
