In this eden garden I enjoyed the free time for resting. It was really nice to discover the environement, the time of nature, the life style, the different kinds of trees...

In Ikondo there is a big carpentry were most of the machineries were dismiss from the factories in Schio and Santorso (Vicenza). Young guys were building during the day doors, chairs and windows for selling them in the village. When the carpentry was closed I could make a travel version of a violin.

The elecricity generated form the power plant was used to pump water to the village, for the carpentry, and for the tayloring. The agricultural sector in this region is strong but the transformation is pretty weak. CEFA is developing projects is suggesting projects to the locals to transform the agricultural projects. The sun flower oil produced there is for example appreaciated in the valley for the selection of the seeds.

Spending time in the Italian ngo organisations I completely forgot that I was abroad. It is impressive how one can feel home keeping his traditions in a completely different place. In the middle of nowhere we could for example watch San Remo festival, follow the elections:( and, of course, cook.
